what i came home to

Tonight I came home from teaching to a few things that made me smile...

A mini snowman greeted me on the steps of the porch. This was my first clue that daddy and the girls had enjoyed their time together while I was out.


Maia was already at the window, watching for my reaction to the snowman. Nice face, kiddo.


And there was Ellie Belly and her dad at the kitchen table, in the middle of their pre-bedtime cereal event.


I reckon the invention of the Bumbo chair is one of the better inventions for little people in the last decade. Love this new little seat we just bought from a friend!

Don't you know, cereal works wonders as a face mask?


And, how can I leave out our faithful furry companion, Phil? (He really does have brown eyes. One of these years I hope to upgrate from my point-and-shoot camera to something that captures photos the way I hope to...)


I must say, I enjoy going out to teach. But I really love coming home to this clan.
