When my sister Christine moved to Regina (where she'll settling for a while, as she just signed her first permanent contract with the university there), my Grandma heard instead that she had moved to China. It's become our little family joke. So when Auntie Christine came home from 'China' for a few days this week, we just had to drop everything to be with her.

These two have always had a 'wake up Auntie' game that is adorable to watch. A new variation emerged this week... not just waking Auntie up when she pretended to sleep, but first putting a grape in her mouth and then chowing down together when she came to.

The other rather humorous thing I ought to point out about this video is that Maia was introduced to the most hideous play dress at Oma's house. It's so silvery and over the top that each time I see it I'm reminded of the old Muppet Show clips where the pigs would donn silvery space suits and be introduced with that "Piiiigs iiiiin spaaaaace" intro.

So here you have it... my extraterrestrial daughter and my sister from China.
