maiden voyage

Thank you again to all of you who made Tim's bike dream come true! He's been thanking me (and ultimately all of you) just about every day since then. Two days after the party, Tim was able to take it down to London to get "fit" on the bike, and pick up shoes and that sort of thing. So Tuesday night, was he ever ready to take his new wheels out. He said he wouldn't do his whole regular route, but loved the ease of his new bike so much he of course cycled the full route and came back in the dark.

I got a video of him heading out, with Maia taking a real interest in his bike pump and sending him off with a hug. One of the most endearing moments of the week. I would have posted it earlier, but I'd maximized my uploading capacity with the last video, and had to wait a week to upload anything else!
