Auntie Christine left Thunder Bay last Wednesday morning and drove 18 hours over 2 days with a goal of arriving in Zurich by dinnertime on Thursday. But with the snow storm on Thursday, she didn't quite make it to Zurich. She made it to Grand Bend.... FIFTEEN MINUTES from Zurich. Highway 21 (along the shore of Lake Huron) was closed and she had to stay the night at a hotel... just minutes from our home... after driving for two days to see us!

The good news is that Auntie Christine met some lovely stranded travellers in Grand Bend, and had a fabulous visit with us on Friday.

And now she and mom are spending the week in the Bahamas. So we don't actually feel too sorry for Auntie Christine.
